Palma De Mallorca

So where do I start... my first week in Palma de Mallorca was interesting. I met a lot of new people, experienced a lot of new things, and learned a lot of new things too. First day, I met somebody from the language and culture who goes by the name Steph, and we instantly became best friends. However, since I am in the global discovery program which has a different curriculum, we were separated. Nevertheless, I met other people who I became close with really quickly, and my roommate named Jordyn considering I live in a dorm. One thing that I wasn't expecting was the food and how unappetizing it is from the dorms. I wish that me and the rest of the students in the program could eat traditional Spanish food but the activities and how much new activities we get to participate in, makes up for it. I got to go paddle boarding for the first time, and snorkling which I haven't done in such a long time. The people in the program are so close that we have a group chat and an instagram just for memes about experiences that have happened here and inside jokes. In all honesty, I am having a great time except for yesterday. Yesterday we went to Alcudia which is on the other side of the program, where we were forced to go camping and sleep in a tent. It was not only hot but there were so many bugs which I have an intense fear of!! But now being back at the dorms, I have learned to appreciate everything more, and have learned so much about plastic and how it affects marine life, that it has inspired me try and go plastic free. So if someone were to ask me, how was your first week in Palma, the only adequate answer would be, unforgettable.
